Helen Weston Joins Goldstein Legal

We are delighted to announce that Helen Weston has joined the team at Goldstein Legal. Helen brings with her a wealth of experience from over 12 years of legal practice specialising in litigation in occupational diseases. She has worked with many major insurance companies on complex dispute resolutions. She is now enjoying moving her focus to commercial law at Goldstein Legal.

Goldstein Legal’s Founder & Managing Director, Roz Goldstein said: “Helen is a valuable addition to our growing team. As an advocate for women in law, we are delighted Helen has chosen to reignite her career with us.”

Helen said: “it is a pleasure to work with such a great team at Goldstein Legal, I am enjoying applying my experience and creating great solutions for all our clients.”

Helen studied law at the University of Sheffield and started her legal career in personal injury litigation in private practice. She then went on to complete the Postgraduate Dipolma in Legal Practice at Nottingham Law School and thereafter joined Berrymans Lace Mawer LLP (BLM LLP), a national defendant law practice, in order to complete her training contract.

Helen qualified as a solicitor with BLM LLP in 2004 and joined BLM LLP’s occupational disease team in London. She went on to gain many years of comprehensive experience, acting for major insurance companies, as a defendant, in highly complex proceedings. Helen specialised in occupational diseases.

Helen has recently returned to the law after a planned career break to raise her young children. Having had over 12 years’ experience in private practice, representing both claimants and defendants, individuals and companies, Helen has a wealth of legal experience and is looking forward to specialising in commercial law.

Outside work, Helen found working as a Citizens Advice Bureau volunteer, assisting vulnerable and intimidated witnesses and victims of crime rewarding. She has also worked as a business volunteer for a local charity – Learning to Work; supporting young people as they prepare to enter the workplace.

In October 2019, Helen was appointed as a Parent Governor at a local school and is enjoying working alongside senior leaders, teachers and other governors and being actively involved in the management of the school.
